Good alternative to Newsgroupdirect

THUNDERNEWS provides a good service (highwinds's reseller). A little more expensive than Newsgroupdirect (other Highwinds's reseller), but I have never had an outage and they are increasing retention to 515 days. Very fast support too - Live Chat is very efficient .

The unlimited plan (with Free ssl encryption) is a good value for money. Thundernews offer 515 days binary retention. They allow 50 connections too: Unlimited account with SSL Encryption 1m: $21.99 (465 days w/ 20 connections)
